The self-hypnotic seal

or: How you can hinder your progress and not even know it.

Imagine for just a moment that you just had the best self-hypnosis session (or what’s your preferred technology/ritual for eg. beliefchange), the best one you’ve ever had before. Everything worked out beautifully and the change in behaviour and responses you are getting now are magnificiently natural, speedy and powerful. Imagine up to the point where you are really having the feeling that “Woow, I’ve totally got it!”

Now imagine you were going out into everyday life with the new change, and even though it worked pretty well, it just didn’t click in the same way as during the session. Somehow the feeling was different.

You still remembered freshly how great your session went, but something was definitely amiss.

You may have even asked yourself: “What is up with this!”

Here’s why..

A short chronology of allowing “contrast”

.. because I love the excuse it gives me and allow myself to feel even better because I stay true to my decision that nothing is more important than that I feel good!

Let me throw out a quick addendum to my post “Contrast” - a blessing in disguise:

Without oversimplifying things, without holding back or without exaggerating things I can truly say this:

A tale of creation

Assuming you can choose in any given moment even a completely different reality (and not just another version of reality), even one that totally bypasses cause and effect, you would have to have a pretty jumpy and (from a space/time point of view) quite erratic experience.

Keeping up a continuity would be probably pretty hard under such circumstances, especially one that makes up for such a “perfect” simulation as ours.

Why would you even bother trying to keep up a continuity? You could simply choose and create, choose and create, to no ends.
Quite obviously you would never ever need to experience anything other than exactly what you want.

Strings of realities in space/time

Abraham-Hicks and other nonphysical teachers were translated saying that the physical playground is just one out of many illusions, one with the most outstanding characteristic being that it has on its basis a pretty deliberate, rigid set of parameters that creates the illusion of a space/time - continuum.

So in a way the reason why we have cause and effect at all is because someone thought it would be fun and quite interesting to have a playground that enforces cause and effect (which to the creator(s) is just one out of many options).

In this illusion of a playground there are “beings” who are only focal points of said creator(s) and whose only job is it to play, the more joyful, the better.

“Contrast” - a blessing in disguise

Seriously, there is no such a thing as “contrast”.

Often when we experience something that we judge to be a less than positive experience (some call it “contrast”, others “resistance”, “blockages” or “bad luck”) we don’t immediately realize it as the blessing it really is when you let it. Often it’s not even a hidden blessing, once we’ve relaxed and gotten back to a better feeling place.

All “contrast” really ever is (and should be for you) is feedback by your reality, feedback that you simply can’t overlook or ignore any longer, because it’s so in the face (eg. annoying) at the time you are experiencing it.

Q: What makes the difference between contrast and a blessing?
A: Your perception, your ability to perceive (which will help you the most).
