The self-hypnotic seal

or: How you can hinder your progress and not even know it.

Imagine for just a moment that you just had the best self-hypnosis session (or what’s your preferred technology/ritual for eg. beliefchange), the best one you’ve ever had before. Everything worked out beautifully and the change in behaviour and responses you are getting now are magnificiently natural, speedy and powerful. Imagine up to the point where you are really having the feeling that “Woow, I’ve totally got it!”

Now imagine you were going out into everyday life with the new change, and even though it worked pretty well, it just didn’t click in the same way as during the session. Somehow the feeling was different.

The Law of Attraction and the (sub)conscious view of reality

Filed under: hypnosis, manifestation, mental rehearsal — fkrueger @ 09:04:19

The following post was heavily inspired by "Podcast 016 - The true nature of reality".

The way the Law of Attraction interprets reality and the way the subconscious mind perceives itself (and thus the world it’s living in) have some pretty obvious links.. or not. You decide :)

When you come at this from a hypnotherapeutic point of view at some point you are bound to hear that - for the subconscious mind - the past, the present and the future are all the same and all of these are happening RIGHT NOW; this includes all the memories of your past and all your expectations of the future.
This is especially true for highly emotional memories (mostly negative ones though), no matter if the conscious mind can remember it or if the conscious mind is able to even notice the real relevance of an event to the problem at hand.
Remember a time when you had a sudden flashback of a memory long ago ?
Your subconscious doesn’t need to recreate or build up a feeling and the accompanying memory (if the memory is sufficiently interesting to you.. emotionally, that is).

Caveat:

Yeah, the subconscious mind obviously does understand the concepts of something happening in the past, the present or the future as well as the concept of causality (action causes effect/reaction).
Otherwise how would we be able to talk about it here ?

The thing is: There is a difference between understanding the concept and how the subconscious mind actually treats eg. memories.
